Target Audience

My chosen genre often focuses on portraying a certain lifestyle to younger girls and giving them something to look up to and aspire to become or achieve. These type of people can often be described as a mainstream audience as the majority of society probably fall into this category. This audience is more clearly defined by Young and Rubicam who have summarized  the main types of audiences in order to help them be defined and for their expectations and desires to be met effectively. 

This is clearly the audience for a music video in the pop genre, as this audience can be seen as the targeted through other music videos.
